NDC ASPECTS final event: Managing the transition to net zero - EU climate policy in a global context
The transition to climate neutrality needs to become a central objective for policy-making globally if the objectives of the Paris Agreement are to be met. NDC ASPECTS and Horizon 2020 project 4i-TRACTION organised a Policy & Research Dialogue Conference with the aim to spotlight key issues in the transition to climate neutrality in the EU, in other major emitters, and globally – and discuss options to address them.
The event took place in Brussels (VUB residence) on the 9th and 10th July 2024. Remote participation was also available.
The programme was split into two sub-themes:
- Day 1: EU policy focus – investments, infrastructure, and international integration
- Day 2: Global policy focus – hard to abate sectors, action by major emitters, cooperation
The detailed agenda as well as slides from the event can be found in the Downloads section below. The slides from the sessions organised by 4i-TRACTION can be found in the project's website. An overview of highlights from the conference is also available here.
